MP-elect Jati Sidhu promotes Diwali

Media release for Diwali features the following information: Come and celebrate Festival of Light – Diwali on Tuesday, Nov. 3 at the Clarke Theatre at Heritage Park Centre in Mission.

This year the theatre lobby will again be transformed into a marketplace where patrons will be able to purchase a number of cultural items, have their hands painted by a henna artist and learn about Diwali and Mission organizations that enjoy celebrating it.

Dinner, which is free to everyone, will be served in the cafeteria starting at 5 p.m. and features a vegetarian meal and sweets.

Entertainment begins at 6 p.m. with the Korean Drummers and includes performances by the students of Dashmesh Punjabi School, and a number of very talented dance groups, including one featuring the rythms of Mexico.

Even Norden the Magician is making an appearance!  Emcees this year are Mission business man Satti Grewal and Abbotsford Coun. Kelly Chahal.
