The scent of freshly-popped buttered popcorn, and hot chocolate topped with mini-marshmallows, wafted through the air on Second Avenue in Mission on Dec. 4 as MCSS offered that and more for a festive night-time, pre-Candlelight Parade party.

Hundreds of parade well-wishers enjoyed the complimentary sweets distributed by MCSS staff and volunteers who were happy to engage with the public.

MCSS decked its railings in colourful lights, and a party of singers and a guitarist next door had the steps leading up the hill ablaze with its own festive lights.
