Toiletries and food packages were created and presented to MY House staff, including Ernestine O’Rourke by MCSS New to Canada Youth Group on April 26.

Some 12 members of the youth group are from Afghanistan, India, Congo, Fiji, Syria, Philippines and South Korea.
The New To Canada Youth sourced and created more than 30 care packages, said Jessica of the MCSS Settlement team.

“This required engaging with community members and even sourcing things from their own homes,” she said.
Calvin Williams of MY House offered the group a tour of the facility for homeless youths and invited them to stay for a delicious dinner. In a video the group did during the presentation, the presenters are heard to say: “MY House, Helping Youth Feel At Home.”
