MCSS Mobile Medical Unit

MCSS proudly operates the “Mission in Motion” Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) donated by the City of Mission in the summer of 2023. This innovative initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to reach those who may face barriers to accessing healthcare services.

Our state-of-the-art Mobile Medical Unit is a fully equipped healthcare facility on wheels designed to ensure that healthcare is accessible to everyone, promoting wellness and enhancing the overall health of our community. Our compassionate team of Physicians and Outreach Workers is committed to delivering comprehensive and quality healthcare directly to the heart of our community.

Community Outreach

The MCSS Mobile Medical Unit actively engages in community outreach programs, collaborating with local organizations to identify and address specific healthcare needs. We believe that by working together, we can create a healthier and stronger community. Our Outreach Workers offer Harm Reduction supplies and Food Hampers at the onsite events.

We are dedicated to ensuring our services are accessible to as many community members as possible. Our calendar is regularly updated with upcoming events and we look forward to expand this service through greater participation of health professionals. Kindly Note:

The MMU can be booked for 3 hours at a time with the option of adding time in 1 hour intervals. Please plan ahead: We require a notice of at least 2 weeks for booking and at least 3 business days for any changes in schedule including cancellation.
Booking must be accompanied with complete details on the form.
Once you have submitted the form, a confirmation email will be sent to your inbox.
However, this does not guarantee the booking. MCSS has the right to prioritize, modify or cancel a booking.
The MMU Loan Agreement must be signed and emailed to mmu@missionmcss.com to complete your booking. Click here to download.

We Need Your Help

The MMU is one of the key elements enabling us to achieve our mission of Helping People, Changing Lives, Building Community. Accessible healthcare services is a felt need of the community and we are looking for funders who can help us make this a reality. While this initiative has received recognition, it continues to be an unfunded program. Every dollar counts towards keeping the MMU operational and we count on your support towards providing ongoing healthcare and outreach services within the community.

In August 2023, MCSS hosted the first-of-its kind event in Mission to raise awareness and generate funding for the Medical Mobile Unit (MMU). Each year, upto 10 community members are invited to participate in an immersive experience of homelessness; with a goal of collectively raising funds through a pledge drive.
