Employment Readiness Program (ERP)
At MCSS, our mission is to empower individuals and nurture strong, inclusive communities. The Employment Readiness Program (ERP) is a life-changing initiative aligned with our 2025 Strategic Plan, aimed at supporting residents in our supportive housing—many of whom were formerly homeless and currently on income assistance—as they rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.

A Pathway to Purpose
The ERP offers participants:
- Hands-on skill-building and technical training
- Supportive mentorship and paid work opportunities
- A welcoming, judgment-free environment to grow
- Opportunities to contribute meaningfully to the community
- Participants are eager to re-enter the workforce but face systemic barriers. ERP provides a bridge by creating real-world opportunities in safe, familiar spaces. Residents support their building’s maintenance and provide essential services to others—especially seniors—who may lack resources or mobility.
Community Impact
ERP participants take part in a range of tasks that benefit the community:
- Lawn care and landscaping services
- Moving assistance for those in transition
- Light maintenance and support in program spaces
These services enhance safety, dignity, and comfort—particularly for vulnerable individuals in Mission.

Building Skills & Independence
Every service delivered is a stepping stone toward:
- Financial independence
- Greater confidence and self-worth
- Long-term career readiness
We’re not just offering jobs—we’re creating a path to lasting empowerment.
