Food Center
The Food Centre at Mission Community Services supports low to zero income individuals and households with staples, non perishable food items, pet food, hygienic products and lightly used clothing. Each month people have choice over the fresh produce, pantry staples and proteins that they bring home. To ensure everyone has access to food, hampers have options that are responsive to dietary restrictions and cultural preferences.
In a good month, as many as 320 food hampers for singles and families, serving about 600 people are distributed.
Camper hampers and daybags are provided on a walk-in basis; food hampers are by registration only. Click HERE to submit your food hamper request.
MCSS Food Centre is open Mondays and Fridays from 9 a.m. to 12 noon and on Wednesdays, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The center is closed on Tuesdays, Thursdays, holidays and weekends.
Hampers can be picked up at the above times. To pick-up the food hamper you will need to bring the following:
