Representation from several Mission Community Services Society departments, including Seniors, New to Canada, and Housing plus a team of volunteers worked their special magic at MissionFest in downtown Mission on August 10.  Prizes were presented to those involved in the MCSS spin to win, timely information was distributed, and swag of all kinds was offered by our team members.  Volunteers helped monitor the lineups of children awaiting their turn at a variety of colourful bouncy castles on downtown’s First Avenue.

The event also provided MCSS with opportunities to link with artists, performers and vendors interested in participating in future local events.

MissionFest’s key organizer is Mission Downtown Business Association and its executive director, Joanna McBride.

By all accounts the event was deemed a huge success by those who reflected on the day.
