Mission generosity amazing: Christmas Bureau

Oh what a Mission Christmas Bureau – Wish Campaign it was this year . . . and MCSS wants to thank everyone involved.
From the Candlelight Parade and the Festival of Trees to Mission Fire Rescue Service campaigns and the annual Rotary Carol Festival, the spirit of Christmas was alive.

Close to 600 hampers were created for families, seniors and single adults this year, reports Christmas Bureau campaign coordinator Mika Brosseau. Donations from schools, businesses, the WestCoast Express Santa trains filled the shelves at the Bureau office at the Junction Shopping Centre and Mission Food Centre, coordinated by Avalon Lawrence.
Teams of supporting volunteers were incredible, providing their valuable time and efforts at this particularly busy time of the year. Boston Pizza, Mission City Pizza, and Panago generously supported the campaign, and the smiles were evident.
